My Little Robinson by Kakeru Tsutsumi

I'm squeaking it in at the last second yet again...

My Little Robinson by Kakeru Tsutsumi

Genre: Shojo, Fantasy
Length: One Volume - 3 Chapters

Nothing really radical to the art on this one, typical shojo all around. Lots of sparkly
tones for backgrounds and long hair for the lead to have floating around her radiant face.
Just about everything is forgettable, I can't even properly find a way to describe it without using terminology I've probably repeated several times at this point.
When a "little person" runs away from the "big person" he had made a contact with he is picked up by a young model when her dog attacks him. She assumes he's a fairy but he's actually a craftsman who trades goods for food.
Don't let my very lackluster art description put you off completely, I actually liked this manga. It's pretty simplistic, true, but it is also attractively fluffy and adorable. The originality of the plot, though is a bit wasted because of the shortness of the story. A little extra time to have their friendship mature more would have been excellent, actually. Still, it's cute enough to get a pass. There's enough back story to make some drama and add some tension. The lead is a little empty, but her light-hearted nature is just what the little traumatized little person needs to heal. A little less full than the last manga I read by this author but as appealing.

3/5 Cute though not wholly fulfilling.
